The USFS and Western Slope Conservation Center are teaming up to host a trail work day on the Cliff Creek Trail on July 14. It will be a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, help maintain a popular local trail, and meet people from both organizations. Volunteers will be building a turnpike to help trail users navigate a wet area of trail. They will also be performing other basic trail maintenance and brushing.

Meet at the Forest Service office, 430 Rio Grande Avenue in Paonia. The Conservation Center will provide lunch, protective equipment, and tools to all volunteers. To participate, you must wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots. A light-weight long sleeved shirt, pants, hat and sunscreen are highly recommended. Participants are responsible for bringing their own water. All ages are welcome -- minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

For more information or to register your interest, please contact Morgan at the Western Slope Conservation Center 970-527-5307 x206, or email holly@theconservation center.org.
