Twila Jean Low died July 6, 2015, at her home in Cedaredge. She was 71.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
Mrs. Low was born in Denver May 10, 1944, to Lorenz and Louise Valaer. She graduated from Summit County High School and Western State College, and taught first grade in Palisade.
In 1971, she moved back to Summit County, where she met and married Jim Low.
She worked alongside her husband at D&L Printing for 18 years. She was active in the community, the Rebekah Lodge and the Dillon Community Church.
In 2002 she and her husband retired and moved to Cedaredge.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim Low; brothers, Don (Barbara) Valaer of Hotchkiss and John (Anita) Valaer of Colorado Springs; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Terry Valaer.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Brian Aucutt, 58, a homeless Delta man, was seriously burned while attempting to ignite a kerosene heater late Friday afternoon.
Aucutt was occupying the crawlspace in a vacant home at 210 Main Street, just north of Hoolie's.
