Senior CommUnity meals listed for the month of March

Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Community Center (Monday-Thursday), Delta Community Center (Monday-Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday-Thursday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location. More information is available by calling the Cedaredge meal site, 856-3636; the Delta meal site, 874-7662; Hotchkiss Senior Center, 872-3494; and Paonia Senior Citizen Center, 527-3435.

The menu through March 30 follows:

Thursday, March 1 -- Baked chicken breast on fettucine alfredo, candied bacon Brussels sprouts, roll and apple crisp.

Friday, March 2 -- Beef, cheese and rice burrito with green sauce, lettuce/onion/tomato, potato wedges, baked beans and fruit cocktail.

Monday, March 5 -- Chicken pot pie, onion roll, three-bean salad and tropical fruit.

Tuesday, March 6 -- Chili con carne with cheddar cheese and diced onion, pea and cheese salad, cornbread and fruit cocktail.

Wednesday, March 7 -- Roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, kidney bean salad, broccoli, wheat roll and birthday cake.

Thursday, March 8 -- Barbecue chicken breast, potato salad, bell pepper, carrots and onions, oatmeal roll and cinnamon roll.

Friday, March 9 -- Cheeseburger on whole wheat bun, lettuce/onion/tomato, potato wedges, baked beans and fruit cocktail.

Monday, March 12 -- Italian chicken breast, pea and cheese salad, potatoes O'Brien, stewed tomatoes, roll and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream.

Tuesday, March 13 -- Potato crusted cod, fish house coleslaw, potato wedges, whole wheat roll and fresh apple.

Wednesday, March 14 -- Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh veggie salad, whole wheat roll and fruit compote.

Thursday, March 15 -- Roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, California blend veggies, bacon ranch pea salad, whole wheat roll and birthday cake.

Friday, March 16 -- Beef and sausage lasagna, tossed salad, green beans, garlic bread and peaches.

Monday, March 19 -- Chicken enchilada casserole, Spanish rice, hot black bean salad and pineapple tidbits.

Tuesday, March 20 -- Beef stew, Italian vegetable salad, oatmeal roll and peach crisp with vanilla ice cream.

Wednesday, March 21 -- Pizza mac casserole, garbanzo bean tomato salad, Italian bread and honey fruit dessert.

Thursday, March 22 -- Meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, three-bean salad, broccoli and carrots and Greek yogurt with blueberries.

Friday, March 23 -- Ham and beans, cornbread, cottage cheese and mandarin oranges, parsley carrots and oatmeal raisin cookie.

Monday, March 26 -- Chicken noodle casserole, marinated carrot salad, broccoli, wheat roll and bread pudding.

Tuesday, March 27 -- Beef, cheese and rice burrito with green sauce, lettuce/tomato/onion, refried beans and churro.

Wednesday, March 28 -- Oven-fried chicken breast, whipped sweet potatoes, green beans, wheat roll and deluxe banana pudding.

Thursday, March 29 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, Italian vegetables, breadstick and diced peaches.

Friday, March 30 -- Pork and green chili stew with corn tortilla, pinto beans, fiesta veggies and PBOK cookie.
