Region 10 - Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado (ADRC) is a six-county collaboration of businesses, community members and caregivers that serves and works with the aging and disabled populations. Goals are to enhance programs, reduce gaps and increase access to resources.

Bosom Buddies walk/run recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The 24th annual Bosom Buddies "One Step Closer to Help and Hope" Walk/Run is Saturday, Oct. 8, starting at the Montrose Pavilion. Presented by Montrose Memorial Hospital, the event opens at 8 a.m. for registration with the 5k walk and 5k/10k run beginning at 9 a.m.

Citizens for a Healthy Community, a local nonprofit organization working to prevent the development of oil and gas in the Delta County region, is hosting two events in October. The first, dubbed the Frack Free Wine Tasting and Art Auction, is on Oct. 8 and the second, No Frackin Way! benefit concert is on Oct. 16.

Kick off October at haunting performance

Touch of Care and Region 10's Area Agency on Aging are bringing Matter of Balance classes to older adults throughout Region 10. The Matter of Balance classes are available for donation only to anyone age 60 or older who is concerned about falling.

The corn maze at DeVries Produce is now open, with the pumpkin patch and night mazes to follow soon. The corn maze and a straw bale maze for kids can be found north of Montrose on Highway 50 between mile marker 85 and 86.
