Our state legislature needs to be filled with people who are there to serve. Not to serve themselves or their career, but to serve the people whom they represent. State Senator Kerry Donovan is one such person. She has served the people of District 5 throughout her first term, and she has earned the right to a second term. Her work since 2015 has included fighting for expanded access to rural broadband which is so necessary for economic growth. She successfully introduced legislation to decrease the inequitably high cost of rural health care. The governor signed her legislation to provide job creation and job retention assistance to rural communities in economic distress.
Another bill which she introduced and worked through the legislature was for the creation of an agricultural workforce development program that came with appropriated funding. In her second term, Sen. Donovan wants to fix Colorado's infrastructure, secure increased funding for K-12 education, and make sure our public lands stay in public hands. I encourage you to cast your vote for Sen. Kerry Donovan because our rural communities need her advocacy and her ability to get legislation passed and signed into law.
