"Delta County Memorial Hospital remains committed to the health care needs of the North Fork communities. The hospital has a plan in motion to provide quality health care with improved access for North Fork families," said DCMH CEO Jason Cleckler.
The current medical care options for North Fork families, or anyone seeking medical care in Delta County include:

DCMH Urgent Care in Delta. If there is an immediate medical need and there are no providers who are able to schedule an appointment, then DCMH Urgent Care is available 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Staffed by certified family nurse practitioners, this clinic is less expensive than a trip to the emergency department. It also offers a higher level of medical care than a physician's office, so it is more expensive than treatment from a physician in a medical clinic. Urgent Care offers pre-employment physicals and sports physicals for athletes getting ready to go back to school. Urgent Care is not for chronic conditions. Walk-in appointments are available. Urgent Care is located at 155 Stafford, across from DCMH.

The clock is ticking. The Delta Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) has 120 days to reach agreement with the taxing entities it's asking to help fund a gateway project near the intersection of Highways 50 and 92. Half that time has elapsed, and there is no Plan B, city manager David Torgler emphasized during a meeting with taxing entities Monday.
