At about 4:30 p.m. April 9, Delta Police Department officers responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. According to a press release issued by the DPD last week, the suspect fled the area on foot after allegedly pulling a knife on a Walmart employee.

Joshua Husa, 27, of Virginia Beach, Va., was later arrested at 97 Circle Drive.

A Walmart employee advised there was a second individual involved, and a short time later Brian Amador, 24, homeless, was taken into custody at 1410 Valley View Drive. With the assistance of the Delta County Sheriff's Office, the suspect's vehicle was found. After running the plate, it was discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Colorado Springs. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to multiple other items of evidence. As a result, Husa and Amador were arrested. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Husa is charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft, felony menacing, criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a financial device, theft and display of fictitious plates.

Amador is charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft.

The case is still active, as officers sift through the evidence located at the scene.
