Jerri Sue Murchison

Jerri Sue Murchison, beloved daughter of Gordon and Gay Murchison, and the most special baby sister of Rhonda, Rick, Becky, Robin, and Deana, left this life on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was residing in Georgetown, Colo.

Jerri Sue was born on March 17, 1969, in Burnet, Texas. She was raised in the Llano, Kingsland, Texas area. Jerri Sue attended Llano High School where she was a cheerleader and was very active in 4-H showing steers. She graduated in 1987.

Jerri Sue loved animals. As a small child, she would spend hours walking around and under the steers with no fear, as her brothers and sisters were working. She also had a passion for dogs. She loved all dogs big and small and was rarely seen without one by her side.

The most important things in her life were family, especially her children and grandchildren as well as her parents and siblings. This enormous family has many wonderful memories of a woman full of spirit who would spend hours working on crafts, which she gave freely to her family and friends. All who knew her loved her, and were drawn to her through her love and thoughtfulness. Jerri Sue was always there for those who needed her. She is remembered by her family as one who could not be resisted. She was the flame that drew us all to her love.

Those who knew Jerri Sue knew her to be a person of great love and affection. Jerri Sue would also be described as a person who danced to the sound of her own drum. She always had a smile and a quick wit, and the sound of her laughter is still heard in our hearts today.

She is survived by her children, Travis Michael, Jerrod and Makenna Cozby; grandchildren, Kinsley and Jaycee; parents, Gordon and Gay Murchison; her brother, Rick Murchison; her sisters, Rhonda Clifton, Robin Petrich, Becky Leisten and Deana Pipher; and many nieces, nephews and special family friends.

We would like to ask in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Hill Country Humane Society at www.hillcountryhumanesociety.org.
