***UPDATE-Friday, May 4 -- According to a Facebook post by her father Thursday afternoon, Falon has been found and united with her family. Apparently she got lost on the mesas around Cedaredge, and was stranded when her vehicle got high centered. She found shelter in a hunting cabin and stayed hoping someone would show up. She had also injured a knee and was waiting for it to heal a little before deciding to walk out. Someone picked her up and took Falon to the Silt police station. She is now resting at home with her two daughters.
Family members of Falon Kaufman are posting flyers on social media and in local businesses, searching for any information about her disappearance on April 19.
Delta County Sheriff Fred McKee reports she spent the night at the Stay Wise in Cedaredge, and on checking out the following morning told the clerk she was headed to Grand Mesa and then home. McKee added that an officer from the Cedaredge Police Department had talked to her the night before and everything seemed fine.
Kaufman is described as 5'2" in height. She weighs 120 pounds and has hazel eyes. Her hair is blonde, with roots coming in dark brown. She was driving a silver 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with license plate number 814-QTZ.
