After attending the Ride The Rockies festivities at the Hotchkiss fairgrounds on June 15, we were embarrassed by the condition of the grounds. The lawn was dry and unmowed, weeds were growing up around the trees and the flowers were unkempt in the old fountain. The flag and pole are inadequate. The light for the flag was almost bigger than the flag.
Having Ride The Rockies overnight in Hotchkiss is an honor and we think the fairgrounds should be better kept for this event and all others.

An open community discussion may begin soon as some Chamber of Commerce board members think town hall's chosen marketing identity label for Cedaredge -- Vintage -- is the wrong one for promoting business and commerce.
The Vintage label emerged from a "Branding Summit" held last summer.
