Longtime Delta resident Clinton H. Davis died Dec. 20, 2017, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. He was 84.
Services will be held at a later date.
Clinton Howard Davis was born May 2, 1933, to Archie and Norma (Eudy) Davis in Grand Junction. He spent his early years in Hayden and moved to Delta when he was two years old. He graduated from Delta High School in 1952. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army.
On Aug. 24, 1954, he married Barbara Jean Hudgens in Delta. They shared 58 years of marriage until her death on April 7, 2013.
Mr. Davis worked for Morcan Engineering, Mount Sopris Instruments and Tri County Water throughout his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antiques and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Davis; daughter, Glinda Petty; two brothers, Donald (Bonnie) Davis and Terry (Colleen) Davis; sister, Judy (Wendell) Turner; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Davis; and two sisters, Virginia Beaver and Tami Sitton.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
