As part of its regional partnerships program, El Pomar Foundation awarded four grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 to organizations nominated by El Pomar Foundation San Juan Regional Council members.
Two of the grants went to local organizations.
Cedaredge's Bruins played a steady game with some ups and downs along their way to a 23-10 opening night prep football victory over Monte Vista's Pirates.
The Bruins, in front of a home crowd, started the evening off right with the opening kick off.
The softball season is young but Cedaredge's Bruins are playing well and served notice that they are a contender in 3A softball ranks. A 7-6 win over 3A District 1 opponent Faith Christian leaves the Bruins with a 2-0 record.
Cedaredge and Delta High School had busy schedules this past week in volleyball. The Bruins played Ridgway early in the week and then attended a tournament in West Grand over the weekend.
