This year's Delta High School Alumni Golf Tournament featured 20 teams and 79 participants. The range of scores in the tournament went from 56 to 74.
The winning team, with a 56, included Blake Bynum, Don Miller, Jon Boyd and Mike Boyd. Second place went to Ken Brown, Yeulin Willett, Gary Simpson and Matt Hellman with a score of 58.
The third-place team of Terry Glenn, Jon Showalter, Tracy Brown and Steve Massano finished tournament play with a score of 61.
There were several duplicate scores produced in the tournament. Four teams had scores of 62 and four more teams finished with scores of 64.
Tracy Brown was a situational prize winner with her closest to the pin shot on number four.
Mason Garcia got into the prize money as well with the tournament's longest putt coming on number eight after a long drive by Keaton Reiher.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used for Delta High School's golf team.
Thanks to the efforts of state Rep. Millie Hamner, House District 61, Colorado State University plans to re-open the Rogers Mesa research site.
The facility was taken out of operation in 2011, due to budget cuts throughout the CSU system.
